Immense Hurricane Roars Toward New Orleans

"A monstrous Hurricane Katrina barreled toward New Orleans on Sunday with 160-mph wind and a threat of a 28-foot storm surge, forcing a mandatory evacuation of the below-sea-level city and prayers for those who remained to face a doomsday scenario."

I had the misfortune to ride out Betsy in 1965. One of the most frightening nights of my life. Though not as bad as Katrina, still I know what these folk are going through. May God help New Orleans and all who stayed. I fear those who remained made a mistkae.
