Ancient stone circle holds air of mystery

"Some people have claimed to see small figures lit by moonlight moving among the stones. There are those who claim the mysterious site was built by aliens and is related to a Martian formation named Cydonia."

They called it "a Martian formation called Cydonia," so I supect they didn't know about it enough to know what heresy they were publicizing.

The main proponent of the Cydonia=Avebury theory is David S. Percy, who was briefly associated with The Enterprise Mission in the early nineties.

I've seen his video "The Face On Mars: The Avebury Connection" once, and found it fascinating. I've been to Avebury a number of times so I have the advantage of being able to put the locations in context.

I have not done anything to confirm and double check his statements, however. Percy has the diagrams included in his novel "Two-Thirds," a fictional treatment of the concept. It's very long, and utterly unreadable, in my opinion.
