Leisurespace

This proposal for a car showroom/leisure center by Manuelle Gautrand Architecture seems lifted from the luminously decadent universe of Second Life, where structures seem to exist on the margins of the possible. Perhaps the future of the psychedelic "trip" hinges on the transcendent potential of architecture, both real and virtual.

Saweet!

Too bad the sheiks in the Middle East are only interested in investing their money building boutiques and hilariously expensive hotels. That project could be awesome for a public library or an art gallery, not for selling god-damned gas guzzlers :-(

Same thing happens here in Mexico, as a matter of fact. All the money goes to build yet more corporate buildings and strip malls. An to think that Mexico was once called "the city of palaces", *snif*
