The funny thing about this is that one day when we all have humanoid robots, if they started to move like that we would send them to get fixed... lol

Yeah, having a robot that actually moved like that at this point would be outdated. However, I still like that cylon/battle droid sounding voice. Having your own personal cylon without the cylon voice (and oscillating red eye) just wouldn't seem right. It would be like having a real lightsaber that didn't make the right sounds.
Those 80s kids are still making use of their awesome career skills... working as mimes in strip malls ;)
