Rock formation which resembles a human face

This rock formation which resembles a human face (when viewed from the side) can be found at Shiquan town in Shanxi province, China. It was formed after the construction of the mountain road was completed. This creation is purely accidental.

Not bad. Take a look.

This creation is purely accidental.

So they say. I never take unverified declarations like this at face value. And, frankly, I find that statement hard to believe when comparing this face with a similar formation in Franconia, NH (the famous "Old Man in the Mountain" -- alas no longer having recently collapsed). The features look a bit too precise to me to be a genuine simulacrum. Since the entire stone outcropping was modified to cut a road through, I suspect a little secretive jackhammer work probably contributed strongly to the likeness.

It's still better than seeing the Virgin Mary in your grilled cheese sandwich.

Yes, but will it make you a fortune on eBay?
