And the tomato head's "pupils" are even where one would "predict."

Hmmm...this tomato reinforces my theory -- at least for me -- that collective psychic energies influence the surrounding environment. The tomato is from Japan; and it just happens to resemble a Japanese monster called an "oni" as it is frequently depicted in Japanese art. Check out the following links and make a comparison:

It makes me wonder if the Face on Mars is truly artificial, or if it -- like this tomato -- is a natural formation which has somehow been shaped by the collective psychic energies of its neighboring planet.

Ken,

You're right -- it *does* look oni-ish.

Yeah, remember the likeness of a "Madonna and Child" which recently appeared on a wall somewhere (I can't remember which city, although it was here in the US)? It happened almost exactly around the time that John Paul II died and Benedict XVI was elected new pope. Coincidence? I think not...

ken -- That's a highly interesting notion. I don't recall seeing it in exactly that form anywhere else.

Just don't expect to make many converts at JPL. ;-)
