Try your apartment?
Come on out to West Texas. All you will hear is country music on every radio station- soon you will get used to it and it won't even bother you anymore.
Drove through Texas a couple times... car stereo tape deck broken... country-western on every station... pedal to the metal...
WMB--
I don't like writing at home. At least, not a lot. I'll do it in a pinch, but I like to go "out."
I'll take Johnny Cash over Britney Spears (or most of what passes as contemporary pop "music") any day of the week.
Now, back to my JC greatest hits collection!

By "country music" I wasn't referring to Johnny Cash. Not even close. It was that god-awful factory-produced "young country" drek.
You know, I just might take Britney over that.
I wish I could recall where, but I remember reading quite a number of years ago about a study that these two researchers conducted over a span of something like 15 years on the effects of various types of music on the behavior of bar patrons. Not that this is any surprise to those of us who detest the stuff, but they found that country music was unique amongst musical genres in that it was the only one that incited increased alchohol consumption and a greater propensity for violence.
