Experts Claim Official 9/11 Story is a Hoax

A group of distinguished experts and scholars, including Robert M. Bowman, James H. Fetzer, Wayne Madsen, John McMurtry, Morgan Reynolds, and Andreas von Buelow, have concluded that senior government officials have covered up crucial facts about what really happened on 9/11.

[. . .]

These experts suggest these events may have been orchestrated by elements within the administration to manipulate Americans into supporting policies at home and abroad they would never have condoned absent "another Pearl Harbor."

They believe that this White House is incapable of investigating itself and hope the possibility that Congress might hold an unaccountable administration accountable is not merely naive or wishful thinking.

What's especially interesting (to me, anyway) is the fact that here you have genuine experts putting their reps on the line for a point of view that has previously been totally dismissed as another nutcake "conspiracy theory." (In fact, as I've pointed out numerous times on Mac's blog, truly clever conspirators -- and whoever orchestrated 9/11 clearly was that -- as a cover, ALSO promulgate completely outlandish theories in order to tar with the same brush valid and rational conspiracy theories that might implicate THEM. Think about it.) Anyway, in addition to the mountain of hard evidence for government complicity in 9/11 described, there is also this single glaring fact (not mentioned in the story). 9/11 WAS ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE BEYOND anything that Al Qaida has conceived and executed before or since. In fact, if nothing else, I think most terrorist acts strike us as, by and large, not terribly well executed and distinctly low tech. (Even when they "succeed" it's usually in a brute force, clumsy sort of way.) So to me, two of the most (if not THE most) suspicious elements of 9/11 are the sheer creativity of its conception and the brilliance of its execution. I never see this fact pointed out and it seems to me it would greatly bolster the argument for U.S. (and possibly other) government complicity.

Every time I read about stuff like this Bear, I think two things:

1- Inside job
2- Israeli Mossad job

Either way, it's VARY scary.

PD: By the way, the Ph.D. peer reviewed papers are very well done.

Jon -- Mossad was, shall we say, one of the possible "other governments" I had in mind, frankly, but you can't say that here without being instantly tagged as "anti-semitic." (I even think it's a perverse tribute to what is far and away the best intelligence agency in the world, although they doubtless acted with the complicity of the U.S, government, which conveniently -- and completely against standing policy -- didn't scramble any interceptors until it was too late.) Some of the reasoning behind this is that 9/11 was beyond even the capacity of U.S. "black ops" which, in fact, tend not to have a terribly great track record. This whole business IS scary but important to investigate and clarify anyway, no matter to what unpleasant (and admittedly scary) truths that clarification might lead. That reputable scholars are "buying into" this kind of "conspiracy theory" I somehow find to be a very positive sign. There may be hope for our pop-media deluded culture after all.

Well, if 1 or 2 did it (or both), they can't have it both ways with me. I'm not really worried about being called "anti" anything, like I said... they won't have it botht ways with me.

These are possibilities that should be seriously addressed.
