Latest UFO is spotted hovering over Birch Hill homes

Susan Mallia, who called the Midweek to see if anyone else reported the strange sight, said: "I have never seen anything like that before. It looked like a pile of scaffolding with lights, red, blue and orange ones.

"It also had a big spotlight that was moving around. I don't think it was a helicopter because it sounded like a vacuum cleaner or a generator."

A pile of scaffolding? I love it when UFOs defy the archetypical "daylight disk" motif. I assume someone is toying with us, but don't profess to know if it's "us" or "them."

Judging by the described sound, I'd suspect an experimental air craft. Surely ET has, according to the great preponderance of reports, quiet power systems.

As to the appearance, got me.

Of course, this *could* be an ambitious hoax perpetrated by some hobbyists in a garage somewhere. But if I had the tech to send something into the air I'd make it look like a traditional UFO.

The sound is certainly an anomaly, and suggests a terrestrial origin.
