Britain should put astronauts on Moon, Mars

The report says that human expeditions could help solve profound scientific questions such as the history of the solar system and the existence of life beyond Earth, and would also boost British industry and inspire future achievement among children.

The more the merrier!

What SHOULD occur is that all nations get together in an apolitical alignment and collectively expand into Space. Of course, the odds of that happening are just about nil.

You know, I honestly feel that, if humanity were not so aggressively territorial and violent, we'd have had a colony on Mars in the 1500s or 1600s.

And frankly I can't see Britain being able to afford this. Of course, limited supplies of money breed creativity, so an attempton their part might be a good thing. After all, they were the real wizards of the Wizards' War which Churchill spoke of - WW II.
