You see, my apartment has a small "library" that consists mostly of trashy paperbacks and fashion magazines. Since I found myself without an umbrella, I resourcefully picked up a year-old copy of "W" magazine before dodging out into the rain. Being large-format and of considerable paper stock, my copy of "W" served as an effective shield. Not as good as an actual umbrella, but better than nothing.
Anyway, none other than Kate Moss appeared on the cover, so I feel sort of indebted. Thanks, Kate. You're doing good work; keep it up!

I think this is my favorite Kate Moss picture. She looks vulnerable, but in a crafty kind of way.

Hey, it's the style. Half the models in Harper's Bizarre (I mean Bazaar!) Vogue, Elle, and their imitators look like heroin addicts. Smiling ist verboten. Grim and strung out are in.
I will argue this one time in defense of Kate... she certainly may not be smiling, however, strung out she DOES NOT look.
Believe me I am a woman who is highly critical of that heroin junky look in models, and this has got to be one of the best pics I have EVER seen of Kate. She looks like she owns this B&W; - the photographer probably did an entire series [which is MANY] just to get this one shot.
It is a really good pic.
Nuff said.
