I just returned from the vet's; my oldest cat, Spook, needed her ears cleaned. The clinic is in walking distance and it was raining, so I got soaked. The client before me was a punked-out purple-haired girl with a kitten who'd lost an eye to an infection -- really cute, one eye or not.

I'm debating whether I should blog less so I can get more "real" writing done, now that I've got a green light for a new book. Maybe I should discipline myself to a post every couple days, or eliminate links to news items and only post original content. (More alien essays, anyone?)

I like your content regarless of it's source. If you are surfing and come across something interesting, its nothing to post it.

Do what you feel is most important to getting your work of passion done first. Then take care of us massess.

I'll miss my daily (more like thrice-daily) fix! But yeah, how about posting what you're currently writing for the book? Who knows, maybe some feedback might be useful. I guess you do have to worry about people plagiarizing your stuff though. Tough call.

However, according to my understanding of copyright law, all you have to do is write "Copyright 2005" after whatever you post with maybe a little caveat about using with permission and you're good to go!

Actually, I'm registered with Creative Commons (see sidebar button); others are free to post stuff they find here (hey, I'm flattered) but not for commercial purposes. And they have to attribute me.

Incidentally, some of the stuff already here is likely to find its way into the new book in one form or another. (Don't tell anyone.)

If you copyright your blog writing are you not falling into the trap of the matrix/Reflective Sphere, i.e. that what you think and write down are your own ideas, and not telepathically implanted in you by the Trans Dimensionals?

And by claiming as your own, by copywriting your work, do also you not fall into the illusion that your blog and the books and movies derived from your work are real, and lose sight of the fact that they are actually a holographic representation of alien created soul bait (fame and fortune) designed to ensnare you, and let them feed off your emotional energy (greed, want, need)?

See how easy it is to sink deeper into the Matrix? And just how difficult to get out?
Of all people it ought to occur to Mac and the readers of his blog that things may not be as they seem, you so called spiritual adventurers of conscious mind exploration are sniffing at the cheese (copyright royalties) like lab rats!
